While the manual transmission is no longer available, the 2025 Golf R does enjoy a 13 horsepower bump over the previous model year. New exterior styling extends to an illuminated front badge, new headlights and taillights, and blacked-out badging on the newly-introduced Black Edition.
Inside, the 2025 VW Golf R gets even more enhancements. A larger 12.9-inch touchscreen with the newest software comes standard and boasts model-specific design cues. Enthusiasts will appreciate the new, larger shift paddles that rest behind the steering wheel. The 2025 Golf R still offers features like a quad-tipped exhaust, rear spoiler, painted brake calipers, and other aesthetic differences that set it apart from the rest of the Golf lineup.
