2018 Volkswagen Atlas Los Angeles CA
Volkswagen drivers who care about size and strength more than anything ought to check out the new Atlas. As the largest vehicle in the lineup, the Volkswagen Atlas is also the newest SUV model. It joins the Volkswagen Tiguan and the now-retired Volkswagen Touareg as a formidable, capable, stylish SUV.
Though it is the largest Volkswagen currently produced, it still falls under the midsize SUV classification. Still, the Atlas holds more cargo room than any other Volkswagen and it isn't even close. Touareg and Tiguan drivers can hold around 65 cubic feet of cargo while the Atlas fits 96.8 cubic feet. The Atlas is also the only Volkswagen with three rows of seating. Check out more details below.
2018 Volkswagen Atlas performance and technology features
Let's face it, performance and technology are probably the top two concerns for most modern drivers. The Atlas comes with two different engine options. The base trim level features a 235-horsepower, 2.0-liter inline-four-cylinder engine, but a 3.6-liter V6 engine powered by 276 horses is also available on the base trim as well as all other trims. Drivers with the standard I4 engine will produce 258 pound-foot of torque and V6 drivers will have 266 pound-foot of torque. This torque is largely what's responsible for the Atlas' towing ability. The Atlas, when properly equipped, can pull up to 5,000 lbs.
For those who don't care about engine specs and just want to have a fun ride, your wait is over. The Atlas comes loaded with modern technologies that we have come to expect from our vehicles. The available 12.3-inch digital cockpit display is a small but effective feature that gives drivers a whole new experience. It features driver personalization and navigation information right in between the gauge cluster. Fender premium audio combined with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allows for your own personal concert every time you sit in the driver's seat. Remote start, three-zone climate control, an overhead camera view, pedestrian monitoring, and adaptive cruise control are just some of the other innovative and remarkable technologies available.
