The maintenance for our cars seemingly never ends. Every few months it’s time to find a mechanic and get an oil change. It happens so frequently you could almost set your watch to it. After a while, those costs can start to add up though.

These small bits of maintenance are necessary to keep your car healthy, and it goes well beyond just getting your oil changed. Tire rotations, wheel alignments, multi-point inspections, and everything else help keep your car healthy, but at a cost. Dealerships should offer a punch card for oil changes or some sort of program to help with all the maintenance you need.

What is the Lifetime Oil and Filter Program?

It’s not quite a punch card, but the lifetime oil and filter program at Volkswagen of Downtown L.A. goes a long way towards your car’s health. This program covers an oil and filter change as well as a multi-point inspection, and it’s available as long as you own your vehicle. There are two different plans to choose from, a standard and executive plan. The standard plan covers conventional oil changes up to four times a year and synthetic oil changes up to two times a year. For the executive plan, there is no limit on conventional and the synthetic limit is bumped up to four times.

Multi-point inspections, which are also a part of this plan, take a look at just about every part of your car. These types of inspections are important to diagnose small problems before they become bigger problems. It can save you a lot of time and money in the long run by taking care of the problem now rather than later. The lifetime oil and filter program covers both new and used cars.
