The month of March is finally here. That means baseball is nearing, Madness is about to begin, and for proud Irish-Americans, it means that the day to celebrate St. Patrick is almost here. Los Angeles doesn’t have the rich Irish heritage that you might find in Boston or Chicago, but that doesn’t mean Southern Californians can’t party with some Guinness in their hands. St. Patrick’s Day at Howl
When: March 17, 5:00 p.m.
Where: Howl at the Moon, 1000 Universal Studios Blvd., Universal City, CA
Green beers, car bombs, and green tea mini-buckets make for a great celebration. What better place to have a party than in the heart of Hollywood, U.S.A? Guests should register ahead of time but admission is free! Get some good friends together and (responsibly) party the night away.
St. Patrick’s Comedy Special
When: March 16, 8:30 p.m.
Where Busby’s, 5364 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA
Spend St. Patrick’s eve listening to some side-splitting comedy at one of L.A.’s best local comedy clubs. This is the second annual St. Pat’s comedy event at Busby’s and the party doesn’t end when the shows stop. Music, drinks, and games will continue into the wee hours of the morning. This sounds like a perfect date night.

Downtown L.A. St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl and Beer Garden
When: March 17, 1:00 p.m.
Where: Los Angeles Biergarten, 750 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA
Why not keep it simple? St. Paddy’s day is a day for friends and drinking. Celebrate the right way and have some delicious drinks and go nuts (responsibly, please). Spend the whole day and night with friends in the middle of the greatest city this side of the Mississippi. Just be sure you don’t drive your Volkswagen home.
